Why join Federal Retirees
The National Association of Federal Retirees (Federal Retirees) is the largest national advocacy organization representing active and retired members of the federal public service, Canadian Armed Forces, Royal Canadian Mounted Police and federally appointed judges, their partners and survivors.
From strategic, impactful advocacy work to preferred partners that offer real savings, there are plenty of things to love about becoming a Federal Retirees member. Join now, even if you aren’t retired!
Your membership matters
For more than 60 years, Federal Retirees has been a trusted national voice for retirees, working to protect pensions, benefits and quality of life in retirement. Backed by over 170,000 members and a dedicated volunteer network from coast to coast, we deliver credible advocacy that drives real results.
Membership is affordable at only $58.80 per year for an individual or $76.44 for a couple, and it delivers real value. Members gain access to useful benefits, savings and resources, while supporting a stronger voice for retirement security now and in the future.

Our work together
Our association is proud to have a body of work worth celebrating, including over a half a century of important victories for federal employees, retirees, older Canadians and their loved ones:
- Secured full pension indexation for all federal retirees, so your pensions keep up with the cost of living.
- Fought for the protection and security of your loved ones, obtaining continued benefits for surviving spouses.
- Challenged the $30-billion pension surplus grab from the public service, Canadian Armed Forces and RCMP superannuation accounts.
- Negotiated the creation of your dental plan, the Pensioners’ Dental Services Plan (PDSP).
- Defeated Bill C-27, dangerous legislation that would put pension security at risk.
- Lobbied successfully for a federal seniors minister, ensuring you have a voice in cabinet
- Delivered a modernized Public Service Health Care Plan (PSHCP) with meaningful enhancements across nearly every benefit category.

Federal Retirees is also building a nationwide network of advocates to advance our mission.

We need you to help make it happen.
